Almost flawless out of the box
Five-star gun with one annoying detail: the slide release sits in a spot where my thumb pre-rides it under recoil, occasionally locking the slide back early. Adjusting my grip is the fix, but it took me a session to figure out.
Better than I had any right to expect
At this price point I was prepared for cut corners. Found none. Slide-to-frame fit is tight, the controls have a positive click, and the 22 Long Rifle barrel groups under 2 inches at 15 yards rested. Absolute steal.
Trigger took 300 rounds to come alive
Out of the box the trigger had a slight grit through the take-up. Three hundred rounds in and it's smoothed out into something genuinely pleasant. Patience pays off - would be 5 stars if it shipped at this state.
Recoil impulse is straight back
No diving, no tilting, no over-correction. Just a clean push that lets you recover fast and re-engage. Whether that's the Semi-Auto design, the recoil spring, or the grip geometry - whoever engineered it knew what they were doing.
Decent shooter, finicky on cheap ammo
Runs my preferred 22 Long Rifle brand flawlessly. Bottom-of-the-barrel steel-case gave me a couple of failures to extract in the first 300 rounds. With quality brass ammo, it's been perfect since. Pick your ammo, no issues.
