Beautiful 1985 production Colt Boa 4" chambered in .357 Magnum.  Gun is in mint condition and does not come with the original box. The Colt Boa is the rarest of all the snake guns, a short-lived double-action revolver that has become something of a unicorn among Colt collectors with only 600 ever produced. It was produced briefly in the mid-1980s and is essentially a hybrid revolver:
  • It uses the frame and action of the Colt Trooper Mk V
  • Paired with the heavy barrel of the Colt Python
That combo gave the Boa a reputation for excellent balance, durability, and accuracy, even though it never had the high-polish luxury finish of the Python. Key characteristics
  • Caliber: .357 Magnum (also accepts .38 Special)
  • Capacity: 6 rounds
  • Barrel: Heavy Python-style barrel with a full underlug
  • Sights: Adjustable rear, ramp front
  • Action: Double-action/single-action
  • Barrel Length: 4"
Why it's special
  • Production numbers were very low (600 units)
  • It was made for Lew Horton Distributing, adding to its mystique
  • Combines Python handling with a stronger, simpler action than earlier Colt designs
Collector status Today, the Colt Boa is highly sought after, often commanding prices upward of $40,000. Serial: BOA***3 Product Information Finish Blue/Black Type Revolver Barrel Length 4 Capacity 6 Grips Wood Caliber 357 Magnum Concealed Carry Yes

This thing is a tack-driver
Honestly didn't expect much for the price. Threw 300 rounds of mixed 357 Magnum through it Saturday morning - every single one fed, every single one hit where I aimed. Whatever this brand is doing, they need to keep doing it.

My wife stole mine, ordering a second
She picked it up at the range, fired five rounds, and announced it was hers now. Can't argue - the recoil on this 357 Magnum is so manageable that even my mother-in-law shot a clean group with it. Adding another to the cart tonight.
