Took a buddy from skeptic to convert
He's a one-brand kind of guy and gave me grief for buying this. One mag through it and he went quiet. Two mags in he asked if I'd lend it to him for a USPSA match. He's putting in his own order this week.
Wish it shipped with better mags
The gun is great. The factory mags feel like cheap stamped steel that's going to wear out in 1,000 cycles. Bought aftermarket mags within a week - those are excellent. Wholesale rating: 4 for the package, 5 for the firearm.
Looking forward to my next range day
That's the highest compliment I can pay a firearm. I'm planning trips around this gun, not the other way around. 38 Special is cheap to feed, the trigger keeps getting better with each session, and accuracy keeps surprising me.
Even my dad, who never approves of anything
Forty-year shooter, opinion of most modern guns ranges from "plastic junk" to "acceptable". He picked this up, dry-fired it, rang the steel target three times in a row, and said "not bad". From him that's an endorsement.
Grip texture is a touch aggressive
After a long range session I had a bit of a hot-spot on my middle knuckle from the front strap stippling. For carry it's actually a benefit - locks in your grip. For range days I might tape over one section. Otherwise top notch.
